A vaijayanti garland is around his neck, and the young one plays the sweet flute; earrings glitter in his ears, Nanda's joy, Nanda's darling. His body is dark like the sky, and Radhika shines beside him, dear friend. The forest-garlanded one stands among the creepers; his curls are like bees, with a musk tilak and a glow like the moon: lovely is the beauty of Shyama's beloved.

The sand on the river bank shines bright; the flute is playing in Vrindavan; all around are gopis, cowherds and cows. He smiles gently, like the soft moonlight, and the bonds of worldly life are cut: hear the call of this poor beggar.
