Siddha Kunjika Stotram · सिद्ध कुञ्जिका स्तोत्रम्
A short Sanskrit hymn to Chamunda with bija mantras, said to give the fruit of the whole Durga Saptashati.
शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम् । येन मन्त्रप्रभावेण चण्डीजापः शुभो भवेत् ॥
śṛṇu devi pravakṣyāmi kuñjikāstotramuttamam । yena mantraprabhāveṇa caṇḍījāpaḥ śubho bhavet ॥
(शिव ने कहा:) हे देवी, सुनो, मैं उत्तम कुञ्जिका स्तोत्र कहता हूँ, जिसके मंत्र के प्रभाव से चंडी-पाठ शुभ (सफल) होता है।
(Shiva said:) Listen, Goddess, I will tell you the supreme Kunjika Stotram, by the power of whose mantra the recitation of the Chandi becomes auspicious.
न कवचं नार्गलास्तोत्रं कीलकं न रहस्यकम् । न सूक्तं नापि ध्यानं च न न्यासो न च वार्चनम् ॥
na kavacaṃ nārgalāstotraṃ kīlakaṃ na rahasyakam । na sūktaṃ nāpi dhyānaṃ ca na nyāso na ca vārcanam ॥
न कवच, न अर्गला स्तोत्र, न कीलक, न रहस्य; न सूक्त, न ध्यान, न न्यास और न अर्चन की आवश्यकता है।
No kavacha, no argala stotram, no kilaka, no rahasya; no sukta, no meditation, no nyasa and no ritual worship is needed.
कुञ्जिकापाठमात्रेण दुर्गापाठफलं लभेत् । अति गुह्यतरं देवि देवानामपि दुर्लभम् ॥
kuñjikāpāṭhamātreṇa durgāpāṭhaphalaṃ labhet । ati guhyataraṃ devi devānāmapi durlabham ॥
केवल कुञ्जिका के पाठ से दुर्गा (सप्तशती) के पाठ का फल मिलता है। हे देवी, यह अत्यंत गुप्त है, देवताओं के लिए भी दुर्लभ।
By reciting the Kunjika alone, one gains the fruit of reciting the Durga (Saptashati). It is most secret, Goddess, hard to obtain even for the gods.
गोपनीयं प्रयत्नेन स्वयोनिरिव पार्वति । मारणं मोहनं वश्यं स्तम्भनोच्चाटनादिकम् । पाठमात्रेण संसिद्ध्येत् कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम् ॥
gopanīyaṃ prayatnena svayoniriva pārvati । māraṇaṃ mohanaṃ vaśyaṃ stambhanoccāṭanādikam । pāṭhamātreṇa saṃsiddhyet kuñjikāstotramuttamam ॥
हे पार्वती, इसे अपनी योनि की भाँति प्रयत्नपूर्वक गुप्त रखना चाहिए। मारण, मोहन, वशीकरण, स्तंभन, उच्चाटन आदि (प्रयोग) केवल इस उत्तम कुञ्जिका स्तोत्र के पाठ से सिद्ध होते हैं।
It should be carefully kept secret, Parvati, like one's own birth. Spells of killing, bewitching, subduing, paralysing and driving away are accomplished merely by reciting this supreme Kunjika Stotram.

Salutations, salutations to Kunjika. This Kunjika Stotram is for awakening the mantra; it should not be given to one without devotion. Keep it hidden and protected, Parvati.

हे देवी, जो कुञ्जिका के बिना सप्तशती का पाठ करता है, उसे सिद्धि नहीं मिलती: वह वन में रोने के समान है।
Whoever recites the Saptashati without the Kunjika, Goddess, gains no accomplishment: it is like crying in the wilderness.
About this text
The Siddha Kunjika Stotram is presented as Shiva's teaching to Parvati and is traditionally associated with the Rudrayamala Tantra. Shiva says that reciting this 'key' (kunjika) alone gives the fruit of reading the Durga Saptashati, without the kavacha, argala, kilaka or other preliminaries. It contains the navarna mantra (ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे) and verses built from bija syllables, which praise the Goddess as Chamunda, Kalika, Bhairavi and Parvati. The bija syllables are sounds of the mantra rather than words, so the meanings on this page explain the verses around them.
How it is recited
It is recited especially during Navratri, often before or in place of the Durga Saptashati. Tantric traditions have rules about mantra recitation; practices vary.
