Bhairav Aarti (Jai Bhairav Deva) ·

The aarti "Jai Bhairav Deva, Prabhu Jai Bhairav Deva", sung to Bhairav and Batuk Bhairav.

jai kali aur gaura devi krit seva ||

    jaya bhairava devā prabhu jaya bhairava devā । jaya kālī aura gaurā devī kṛta sevā ॥

    Glory to you, Bhairav Deva, Lord, glory to you; you are served by Kali and Gauri.

bhakton ke sukh karak bhishan vapu dharak ||

    tumhīṃ pāpa uddhāraka duḥkha siṃdhu tāraka । bhaktoṃ ke sukha kāraka bhīṣaṇa vapu dhāraka ॥

    You alone free us from sin and carry us across the ocean of sorrow; you bring happiness to your devotees, and wear a fearsome form.

mahima amit tumhari jai jai bhayahari ||

    vāhana śvāna virājata kara triśūla dhārī । mahimā amita tumhārī jaya jaya bhayahārī ॥

    You ride the dog and hold the trident in your hand; your glory is boundless, victory to you, remover of fear.

chaumukh dipak darshan duhkh sagre khove ||

    tuma bina devā sevā saphala nahīṃ hove । caumukha dīpaka darśana duḥkha sagare khove ॥

    Without you, Lord, no worship bears fruit; seeing the four-wicked lamp lit for you takes away all sorrow.

kripa kariye bhairav kariye nahin deri ||

    tela caṭaki dadhi miśrita bhāṣāvali terī । kṛpā kariye bhairava kariye nahīṃ derī ॥

    Oil and food mixed with curd are offered to you; show your grace, Bhairav, do not delay.

batukanath ban balak jan man harashavat ||

    pāṃva ghuṃgharu bājata aru ḍamaru ḍamakāvata । baṭukanātha bana bālaka jana mana haraṣāvata ॥

    Bells ring on your feet and the damru sounds; as Batuk Nath, the child, you delight the hearts of your people.

kahe dharanidhar nar manavanchhit phal pave ||

    baṭukanātha kī āratī jo koī nara gāve । kahe dharaṇīdhara nara manavāṃchita phala pāve ॥

    Whoever sings this aarti of Batuk Nath, says Dharanidhar, gains the fruit their heart desires.
