राहुर्दानव मन्त्री च सिंहिकाचित्तनन्दनः । अर्धकायः सदाक्रोधी चन्द्रादित्यविमर्दनः ॥

rahurdanava mantri cha sinhikachittanandanah | ardhakayah sadakrodhi chandradityavimardanah ||

राहु, दानवों के मंत्री, सिंहिका के हृदय को आनंद देने वाले; आधे शरीर वाले, सदा क्रोधी, चंद्रमा और सूर्य को पीड़ा देने वाले।

Rahu, minister of the danavas, joy of Simhika's heart; the half-bodied one, ever wrathful, who torments the Moon and the Sun.

रौद्रो रुद्रप्रियो दैत्यः स्वर्भानुर्भानुभीतिदः । ग्रहराजः सुधापायी राकातिथ्यभिलाषुकः ॥

raudro rudrapriyo daityah svarbhanurbhanubhitidah | graharajah sudhapayi rakatithyabhilashukah ||

रौद्र, रुद्र के प्रिय, दैत्य, स्वर्भानु, सूर्य को भय देने वाले; ग्रहों के राजा, अमृत पीने वाले, पूर्णिमा की प्रतीक्षा करने वाले।

The fierce one, dear to Rudra, the daitya, Svarbhanu, who brings fear to the Sun; king of grahas, drinker of nectar, who longs for the full-moon day.

कालदृष्टिः कालरूपः श्रीकण्ठहृदयाश्रयः । विधुन्तुदः सैंहिकेयो घोररूपो महाबलः ॥

kaladrishtih kalarupah shrikanthahridayashrayah | vidhuntudah sainhikeyo ghorarupo mahabalah ||

काल-दृष्टि वाले, काल-रूप, श्रीकंठ (शिव) के हृदय में आश्रय पाने वाले; चंद्रमा को पीड़ा देने वाले, सिंहिका के पुत्र, घोर रूप वाले, महाबली।

Whose gaze is death, whose form is time, who dwells in the heart of Shrikantha, Shiva; the tormentor of the Moon, son of Simhika, of terrible form and great strength.

ग्रहपीडाकरो दंष्ट्री रक्तनेत्रो महोदरः । पञ्चविंशतिनामानि स्मृत्वा राहुं सदा नरः ॥
