Utpanna Ekadashi · उत्पन्ना एकादशी
Utpanna Ekadashi is the Ekadashi of the waning fortnight of Margashirsha in the purnimanta calendar (Kartika in the amanta calendar). Its name refers to the traditional story of the birth (utpatti) of Ekadashi as a goddess, and many begin the practice of keeping Ekadashi fasts from this day.
