Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ashtak: Meaning
Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ashtak, traditionally attributed to Tulsidas, has eight stanzas in savaiya metre and a closing doha. Each stanza recalls one crisis from Hanuman's story that he resolved, and ends with the same refrain naming him Sankat Mochan, the deliverer from trouble. The notes below give the story behind each stanza.
