चन्द्रवदनि पद्मासिनि द्युति मंगलकारी । सोहे शुभ हंस सवारी अतुल तेजधारी ॥

chandravadani padmasini dyuti mangalakari | sohe shubh hans savari atul tejadhari ||

चंद्रमा जैसे मुख वाली, कमल पर विराजमान, आपकी कांति मंगल करने वाली है; शुभ हंस की सवारी पर आप सुशोभित हैं और अतुलनीय तेज धारण करती हैं।

Moon-faced, seated on a lotus, your radiance brings blessings; you look beautiful riding your auspicious swan, holding matchless brilliance.

बाएं कर में वीणा दाएं कर माला । शीश मुकुट मणि सोहे गल मोतियन माला ॥

baen kar men vina daen kar mala | shish mukut mani sohe gal motiyan mala ||

बाएँ हाथ में वीणा और दाएँ हाथ में माला है; सिर पर मणि-जड़ित मुकुट और गले में मोतियों की माला शोभा देती है।

A veena in your left hand and a rosary in your right; a jewelled crown adorns your head and a string of pearls your neck.

देवी शरण जो आए उनका उद्धार किया । पैठी मंथरा दासी रावण संहार किया ॥

devi sharan jo ae unaka uddhar kiya | paithi manthara dasi ravan sanhar kiya ||

हे देवी, जो आपकी शरण में आए, आपने उनका उद्धार किया; दासी मंथरा (की बुद्धि) में प्रवेश करके आपने रावण का संहार कराया।

O Goddess, you uplifted all who came to your shelter; entering (the mind of) the maid Manthara, you brought about Ravana's destruction.

विद्या ज्ञान प्रदायिनि ज्ञान प्रकाश भरो । मोह अज्ञान और तिमिर का जग से नाश करो ॥

vidya gyan pradayini gyan prakash bharo | moh agyan aur timir ka jag se nash karo ||

विद्या और ज्ञान देने वाली, हमें ज्ञान के प्रकाश से भर दीजिए; संसार से मोह, अज्ञान और अंधकार का नाश कीजिए।

Giver of learning and knowledge, fill us with the light of knowledge; destroy delusion, ignorance and darkness from the world.

धूप दीप फल मेवा माँ स्वीकार करो । ज्ञानचक्षु दे माता जग निस्तार करो ॥

dhup dip phal meva man svikar karo | gyanachakshu de mata jag nistar karo ||

हे माँ, यह धूप, दीप, फल और मेवा स्वीकार कीजिए; हे माता, ज्ञान-रूपी नेत्र देकर संसार का उद्धार कीजिए।

Mother, accept this incense, lamp, fruit and dry fruit; give us the eye of knowledge, Mother, and deliver the world.
